Steps to Apply for PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana

Click on the Apply For Rooftop Solar option on the home page.

First, sign up by entering these details: State, Power Distribution Company, Electric Consumer Number, Mobile Number, and Email.

Follow the steps given:

Step 1: Sign up on the platform using the specified information:

Choose your state

Select your electricity distribution company

Enter your electricity consumer number

Enter your mobile number and your email

Follow the portal's instructions

Step 2:

Submit your application for rooftop solar using the provided form

Step 3: Wait for feasibility approval from DISCOM. After obtaining feasibility approval, proceed to install the solar panels through any authorized vendor partnered with your electricity distribution company (DISCOM)

Step 4: After the installation is finished, provide the specifics of the solar panel setup and proceed with the application for a net meter.

Step 5: After net meter installation and inspection by DISCOM, they will prepare a commissioning certificate through the portal.

Step 6: Once you receive the commissioning report, submit your bank account details and a canceled cheque through the portal. Your subsidy will be deposited into your bank account within 30 days.
