Google Pixel 8a has been launched in the global market, including India. The new phone promises to offer many improvements over the old model, the Google Pixel 7a. It features a refreshed design along with the latest Tensor G3 SoC and brings all its AI smart features available in the premium Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones already in the market. Google Pixel 8a comes with a 6.1-inch Super Actua display supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. It packs a 64-megapixel dual rear camera with a 4,492mAh battery.
In India, the price of Google Pixel 8a and its availability
Google's Pixel 8a will be available in the global market in 128GB and 256GB storage options. Both storage variants come with 8GB of RAM. In India, the price of the 128GB variant is ₹52,999, and the 256GB variant is priced at ₹59,999. The handset will be available in all four colors - Alo, Be, Obsidian, and Porcelain. The phone is now available for pre-order on Flipkart and the sale will start on May 14 at 6:30 a.m. Google is also offering a ₹4,000 off on select bank cards and a 12-month no-cost EMI option. Those who pre-order the Pixel 8a can buy the Pixel Buds A-Series for just ₹999.

Google Pixel 8a comes with a refreshed design made of glass (screen), polycarbonate (rear panel), and aluminum (frame). Its design now resembles its new Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones. It features IP67 build and the handset measures 152.1 x 72.7 x 8.9 mm and weighs 188 grams.
It features a flat 6.1-inch Super Actua display, presented for the first time in the A-Series. However, this OLED panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The display also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection like the previous model. Similar to last year, Google has upgraded the SoC of Pixel 8a to the latest Tensor G3 (with Titan M2 security coprocessor) and it brings many features such as 'Circle to Search', AI image editing (Magic Editor), Audio Magic Eraser, Best Tech, and much more. The phone comes with 8GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

It features Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and a standard GPS navigation system. The phone only provides space for a virtual eSIM along with a physical SIM card. The handset can be unlocked using an in-display fingerprint reader or face unlock.
The phone comes with a 4,492mAh battery and can charge quickly with 18W wired charging. Similar to Pixel 7a, Pixel 8a also provides wireless charging but at the same 7.5W (Qi charging standard).
